New production phase at CMA: PARVIS System
Casa de Moneda continues on the path of transformation and expansion, as requested by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, to the new president of the company, Ángel Mario Elettore. In this regard, in addition to emphasizing pillars such as organization, management, and transparency, CMA is undergoing an evolution in terms of performance thanks to the acquisition and future implementation of the new PARVIS Production Execution System, specially designed for the production of banknotes.
The PARVIS System, employed by the world’s leading Mints, is an advanced platform of software and hardware that will be applied to every machine and production process at CMA, enabling control over all phases of high-security printing production.
One of the central objectives of implementing this system is to enhance end-to-end traceability of the production process- It involves collecting and centralizing information from each manufacturing stage in a central server, enabling real-time analysis, evaluation, and the generation of indicators.
All this flow of information will significantly improve production by detecting anomalies, promoting immediate corrections and performance adjustments, and notably reducing input consumption thanks to quality control. This way, a positive impact is promoted both on production efficiency and on net manufacturing costs. This is because the number of banknotes directly cleared without the need for a second pass for further examination and numbering increases due to the online analysis incorporated into each of the processes.
This scenario of production modernization, along with the addition of a new state-of-the-art Super Simultan machine for banknote manufacturing, will enable Casa de Moneda to have a capacity that exceeds the demand of the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA). This opens up new business opportunities with other central banks that require their paper currency suppliers to have this system of information management and automation in place for banknote production.
With this new productive vision, process modernization, and management reorganization, Casa de Moneda aims to establish itself as a leading player on both a regional and global scale in an industry that increasingly demands higher quality, security, and traceability in its products.
