CMA presented the results of its first Carbon Footprint Measurement
The Sustainability Coordination of Casa de Moneda presented the results of the organization’s first Carbon Footprint Measurement for the year 2022.
The Carbon Footprint Measurement allows understanding the extent of the greenhouse gas emissions generated by the organization to establish courses of action that contribute to its reduction. Casa de Moneda is one of the pioneering state-owned companies in adopting this type of initiative.
The measurement process, carried out during the third quarter of the year, was a collaborative and cross-cutting project throughout the organization, with the participation of specialists in the field. The footprint calculation included scope 1, 2, and 3, providing a comprehensive picture of the emissions generated during 2022.
The presentation was made before the President of CMA, Ángel Mario Elettore, members of the Board of Directors, managers, and employees.
Currently, Casa de Moneda is working on a Mitigation Strategy that allows for a gradual path towards reducing the carbon footprint, thus deepening our company’s commitment to environmental care.
