The new 1,000 pesos banknote featuring the figure of General José de San Martín, designed by Casa de Moneda, was recognized as the best regional banknote of 2023 by High Security Printing Latin America.

The HSP, High Security Printing, is the most important event in the industry at a regional level, bringing together representatives, companies, and specialists in the latest technologies and techniques in the production and issuance of banknotes, e-passports, identification cards, visas, and other security documents.

In this context, the innovative security features of the 1,000 peso banknote, the application of the most advanced techniques and technologies, and its cultural value allowed it to achieve the prestigious award for the Best Regional Bill of 2023, a new milestone in the history of Casa de Moneda (CMA).

In particular, in terms of security and innovation, HSP highlighted the use of the 4mm wide RollingStar® i+ security thread (featuring the most advanced micro-mirror technology) and the utilization of the SPARK Flow® security ink system by SICPA to prevent counterfeiting.

The recognition obtained reflects the effort and highly specialized work of all the personnel at Casa de Moneda, as well as its great tradition and experience in the design and production of banknotes and other security documents.
