The Casa de Moneda Design Team welcomed Julieta Ulanovsky, an Argentine graphic designer and the creator of the #TipográficaMontserrat, which is used in the new series of banknotes “Heroines and Heroes of the Nation.”

he decision to use this Argentine typography, in addition to its specific legibility characteristics, even at small sizes, was based on highlighting the strong gender perspective of the new series of banknotes, which feature three women who have had a significant impact on the country: Eva Duarte, Juana Azurduy, María Remedios del Valle, and Cecilia Grierson.

Created in 2011 with strong inspiration from the posters and marquees of the first half of the 20th century, this typography, used in many products worldwide, can now be seen on Argentine banknotes.
